I recently purchased these David Clark aircraft for my private pilot license. I have to admit this is a huge upgrade from the flight school headphones I rented for my first two flights. The fit is a little tight, I haven't flown cross country yet, but after an hour and a half they're still comfortable (I think they should take the shape of my head after a while). The pole holds its shape, and I'm relieved that I no longer have to yell into the headset to intercom. The sound is nice and clear, and incoming transmissions are more noticeable. With rented headsets, the connection goes in and out, I didn't have such problems with it. In the Air Force we use David Clarke's military version and I've been pretty rough on them and they still work great. I have no doubt that they will be just as reliable. There's no auxiliary input, but I'm more concerned about a headset that won't let me down once I start playing solo. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they weren't delivered within 2 days even though it was a "Prime" purchase.
