I've been very happy with the van overall when towing behind a bike, but my experience with this sidecar conversion kit has been mixed. SHIPPING AND ASSEMBLY: I put the kit together and didn't find it particularly easy to put together; It probably took me about an hour. The conversion kit box was intact, but the contents of the box were mixed up; My manual was torn in half and crumpled, making it difficult to use, my bag full of screws and other small items was ripped open and the items were floating freely in the box, and the screw for the brake just wasn't in the box. (There was no tear on the outer seal of the box to break, it just wasn't in the box). FRONT WHEEL PROBLEM / CUSTOMER SERVICE: After the conversion kit was assembled, I took my dog for a walk. Every time I crossed a slow footpath, had to turn a corner, or hit a bump, the front wheel wobbled badly, causing the trailer to jerk. The instructions are actually specific to this issue and say something along the lines of: If you have problems with the front wheel wobbling during use, contact customer service for help. I did exactly that and tried calling: Support is only available during business hours. So now I had to stand in front of the van at home during office hours to get help. It took 2 months before the day came when these conditions leveled off. I called and waited for over 20 minutes only when the background music suddenly stopped playing. did I wait? Your working hours just ended and I was fired? I hang up and call back to see if I get a message after hours or not. I waited another 20 minutes to get through to the person. A very friendly customer service representative had no idea what I was talking about. I was confused because the instructions specifically mention this, so this must be a common problem. She said it wasn't in her instructions. I told her where to look in the instructions where we are directed to their customer service. She then apologizes and says they have other instructions(?). She went to her boss and asked what to do. He said check where the gooseneck attaches to the trailer and the front wheel in its mount to make sure both are secure. I've kindly pointed out that none of these issues appear to be related (they are unrelated) to the shake I'm experiencing. I was expecting instructions on how to remove the little black plastic plug and tighten something in the jig holding the front wheel. She says she has no idea how to teach me that. I thanked her for her time, hung up, removed the little black cap and tightened the nut. Now it works almost without any problems, so I think that one more small change is needed. In summary, I had to go through a difficult process to even get through to the support team as instructed and then they didn't even know how to help me. I could save 2 hours of my life and just do it myself. Why aren't these instructions in the manual? Please see the questions about this product. The kind person shared the actual repair instructions they received from the company. Overall I'm happy with the quality of the suit but found the conversion kit very disappointing for its price. I was expecting better condition upon delivery, with all the details and instructions in the troubleshooting guide for this unfortunately common problem.
