I really wanted 512 GB, no less than 512 GB. For this reason I took 512GB instead of 480GB, but after formatting it was 474GB (!). Still worth it for the price I paid and the cost of ownership is better than the Samsung drive. There is 220 MB/s for writing via SATA III. Why should I pay 50% more for Samsung hard drives? I installed SAP ECC on my laptop which took 2 hours but this install took 10 hours on a regular hard drive which is what I wanted regardless of samsung or ocz. If life expectancy is good, this is the best ROI. However, the cost of this SSD is half that of my high-end laptop (1). Windows 2008 with SQL Server 2008 starts in 10 seconds.
