Review on πŸ’‘ Sunco Lighting 5000K Daylight Security Bulb: Bright & Efficient Home Security Lighting Solution by Frank Alejo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Security at night for a dime a day.

Like many people, you wish your outdoor lights were on at night, but you've been put off by the cost of leaving them on. Also, you will forget to turn them off in the morning. And buying light-sensitive lamps can break your budget. An inexpensive solution is to buy LED lamps with photocells that turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn. A light-sensitive photocell is built right into the bulb itself. I am using Sunco A19 photocell LED bulbs purchased from Revain. Just plug it into the outlet, turn on the internal switches and don't worry about forgetting to turn it on and off again. Each photocell LED lamp emits 60 watts of light while consuming only 9 watts of energy. For the five bulbs I use in standard outdoor lights, I have 300 watts of light to light up my home from dusk to dawn for the energy cost of a standard 45 watt incandescent bulb. I installed them last June and they have been working reliably for fifteen months. I recommend buying the ones that emit light in the 2700K spectrum (soft white). This is an almost ideal area for not attracting many insects. While old yellow lightbulbs are great because they don't attract certain types of insects, they actually do attract other species like earwigs. (I'm looking at this crap so you don't have to.) In addition to 2700K, you can get Sunco bulbs with photocells in 3000K (warm white) or 4000K (cool white). Since the floodlights are higher, I prefer to leave my light barriers on all night so as not to deter burglars in the first place. If the intruder is persistent, motion detection substreams kick in and literally put them in the spotlight. in smaller quantities, but it is much more profitable). Sunco also makes them the size of a headlight.

Pros
  • βœ… FROM DUSK UNTIL DAWN. Using the latest technology, the Sunco A19 LED turns on automatically when the sun goes down. The photocell sensor detects the light level and acts as an automatic night light. To activate the sensor: turn it on, leave it on. Note. This lamp is not adjustable.
Cons
  • boring packaging
