I think I've read the reviews and product description carefully, but it's clear that I'm still missing something. After looking at this tray for a while I decided to buy it and when it arrived I noticed that it really does glide on its own wheels. I thought they were regular two piece pallets that slide over the bottom half of the track. No, that is not so. You push down a lever, which causes its wheels to fall off and it rolls on its wheels. So you can roll it around the house as you like. You are not limited to the lower half of the route. It was a good surprise. We put our new ninja car on it. If you look at the photos, there is enough space in the back, not so much on the sides. I love that this model has a silicone pad which should hold up much better than foam. So far I am happy with this tablet.
