Well, while it's not quiet, it does have some nice features. The wheels make it easy to move when needed and shred more pages at once than my previous small home shredders. I was a bit let down by the selling point for me and what I thought was the best feature. I bought this model because the ground material can be poured out of the hopper without removing the heavy motorized part of the feeder from the top of the basket. You simply pull the container forward and lift it to empty its contents. I can't give 5 stars because the retractable part seems cheap. Thin at the top edges as if it might tear or break with repeated use. In this price range, I don't have to worry about whether the waste bin will withstand normal use.
