Review on 🚲 Topeak Defender FX 279ER Front for 27.5-inch to 29-inch Wheel by Seth Hogate

I bought this a few months ago it broke for me. And can no longer be returned or replaced. It was fairly easy to install other than the fact that the screw nut is simply molded in plastic. So I was nervous about tightening. It then came loose after a few rides and eventually fell out. This can be a serious hazard when moving. In the end, I found that it's better to check and "reset" the steering column before every ride. I took it off for a bike shop and when I tried to put it back on the receiving nut it jammed completely. I removed the plastic it was cast in and also snapped off one of the small brittle plastic tabs that were supposed to hold it level. Now it's garbage. Your rear fender mount is also very unsafe and difficult to repair. I give it two stars because the shape and placement of the fenders (both front and rear) are great, but metal and alloy parts are needed in places. where any force can be applied. And MUCH better mount design.
