Bought this replacement for my 2012 13" MacBook Pro when the original (see picture) started to fail with a SMART error message! Everything works fine for me. The only "" Hammer" and the reason it didn't get 5 stars was with the original HD (see image): There are two stabilization pins that go into two slots to prevent the platter from bouncing around inside the unit. I personally don't travel with a laptop so it wasn't a big deal but I can see that if someone has a lot of mobility there's a chance the drive will get bumped it's a little cramped for the most part but I do hear some disk movement when I do flip the MacBook. A little mistake, but the price can't be beat! Buy with confidence!
