Very good portable, light and thin 1080p monitor.

This is a very good portable, light and thin monitor. It easily fits in a backpack. All you need is this monitor and one or two included cables to connect to your MacBook or Windows PC. I can think of multiple uses for this monitor at home or while traveling. Look at the pictures I uploaded, the box comes with a monitor, an instruction manual and three cables: mini HDMI to HDMI cable, USB Type-C (aka USB-C) to USB Type-A and USB-C to USB -C . The cables are 46" (3ft 10") long, I'm impressed. We very rarely see manufacturers include multiple cables. I will not repeat the specifications here, you can either look at one of the images I have uploaded or read the product description, images/videos which are very detailed and well explained. Connectivity - This monitor does not come with a wall charger/power adapter, a connected device powers the monitor. But you can connect the USB cable to the power adapter if you have one.1. For MacBook (USB-C ports only), use a USB-C to USB-C cable and connect it to the center port on the left side of the monitor for power and audio/video. The bottom USB-C port is for power only. Please note that if your Apple device does not have USB-C or USB Type-A and HDMI ports, you may need an adapter or cable. For example, to connect an iPhone, I need a USB-C to Lightning cable or a USB-C female to Lightning adapter. I do not expect the manufacturer of this monitor or any external device to provide cables or adapters for every device.2. For Windows PC/Laptop with USB-C port, just like MacBook, you only need a USB-C to USB-C cable, plug it into the middle port on the left side to power it on supply and transmit audio/video to the monitor. . Otherwise, connect a USB Type-A to USB-C cable to the bottom port of the monitor to power it on and use an HDMI A/V cable. If your device does not have an HDMI port but only a VGA port, you will need an adapter. Please note that when I first connected my working (a few years old but powerful) HP EliteBook laptop to this monitor using just a USB-C cable, I noticed flickering a few times. This may be because the USB-C port on my laptop probably isn't delivering enough power or isn't adapting to the device. But I've since plugged it in with the same cable and used it for a few hours with no flickering. If the screen flickers, use the USB Type-A to USB-C connector for power and either HDMI or USB-C for audio/video. The monitor can be set up in several positions on the flexibly foldable base. , 45 and 60 degrees, I prefer the latter. It feels like I'm working on a 15 inch laptop. The monitor has two speakers (1W). At 100% volume, the sound is loud enough for people at the table to hear. Listen to the audio I uploaded, ignore the shaky part of the video. For better sound, you can connect your headphones to the 3.5mm jack on the right side of the monitor. When I was just using a USB-C cable to connect the monitor to my Windows laptop, I couldn't switch audio to the monitor during video playback. I couldn't increase/decrease the volume or mute the sound. I think this is an issue with my laptop as I had no trouble monitoring the audio when connected to a MacBook Pro. On a MacBook, open System Preferences - Sound and switch the output to Displayport. So on my Windows laptop I prefer to use USB for power and HDMI for audio/video. You can use the wheel button on the right side of the monitor to adjust the volume and screen brightness. The button above it is the back button for adjusting the volume/brightness to the desired value. I set the brightness to 75 which is good enough for me. As with any external monitor, you can duplicate your main screen onto this, or extend it to use as a second monitor. I use it with a mini pc, it takes a few minutes to set it up with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a portable monitor for use with a laptop, mini pc, mac mini or perhaps a gaming device.
