It's great to have a portable laptop monitor. This works as advertised and my computer reports that this monitor can use and stream HDR content. Picture quality is good and this screen is larger than my laptop screen. There's also a manual brightness control button on the side of the screen, as well as built-in speakers (one on each side of the monitor). The only thing I initially found imperfect was the monitor stand. I spent a lot of time keeping it up. I thought the monitor stand would fold up behind the monitor like the iPad and it just wouldn't stand upright (see video). However, I eventually figured out that the monitor stand flap needs to protrude above the monitor base and then fold in (see photo). I wish it was stated in the manual somewhere! The monitor is slightly heavier than a tablet and is very portable. This product contains three cables: (1) USB/c to c; (2) USB/c to a; and (3) mini HDMI to HDMI. The screen uses a mini HDMI connector. It also includes three additional USB/c ports: a power port, a signal input port, and a USB data port for peripherals. There is also a power button and a headphone jack. Keep in mind that this requires a power source. Power delivery requires a USB/c connection and pd support on this port (not all USB/C ports support this). There are two important things to note when using this monitor: 1. Not all USB/c ports support video output. Just because you have a USB/C port doesn't mean it can output to this monitor. If you have a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port, it also supports video on this monitor. Thunderbolt looks the same as a USB/c connector, but connects via Thunderbolt and not USB.2. Not all USB/c ports support pd. You may need to use 2 USB/c cables (one for power and one for video) with this monitor. If you have a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port to connect (not a USB/c connection), this monitor will be powered. If you have a USB/C port that you can connect an AC adapter to to charge your laptop, this monitor will be powered. Otherwise, if your USB/c port isn't specifically marked as pd (e.g. with a picture of a battery pack) or that feature isn't included in your user manual, then that monitor probably needs a separate USB/c port to accommodate it charge. This gets really annoying when you're using two separate cables, as cables tend to limit monitor placement, especially if you're using the included (i.e. short) USB cables and the video-out and USB ports are on opposite sides. your laptop. Hence, it is a great option for a portable laptop monitor. The price is good and the 1080p HDR monitor works great. If you have other type of signal output connector, e.g. B. DisplayPort, there are adapters that will allow this monitor to work with almost any type of video connector. For example, DisplayPort to USB/c adapters cost between $10 and $20, just make sure they're bi-directional (since USB/c to DisplayPort is the most commonly used, not the other way around).
