I own two sets of these earbuds. The microphone stopped working on both headphones after about a year of use, and when using the headphones to listen to music, crackling can be heard during use and occasionally the sound will go away. The headphones I unintentionally cleaned in the washing machine (and found to be in the skirt's pocket) still function! The sound in one earphone did get somewhat quieter than in the other, but given that the microphone and headphones both function, this is only a minor issue, and after a few weeks the issue is resolved. Cons: When using the microphone, people occasionally complained that I could not be heard well enough and that I needed to keep the microphone close to my mouth. On an iPhone, you may need to press the button repeatedly to answer a call; otherwise, the call is just reset and the Siri feature is inoperable.
