You have to use them correctly.
Wanted to return but found this is it. I saw a guy in a video about this product how a guy heats two pieces of metal, melts a welding rod and then pours water on it. Then he reveals that it's useless. Firstly, you should not pour water on it to cool it down. I used a gas torch to weld the exhaust pipes because I didn't have anything to connect them together. These sticks worked and made it very durable. I even tested it on a cheap pair of pliers. I couldn't open them with pliers without a pry bar to pry them open.
