Bought this to heat our 3 gallon aquarium. After 24 hours of holding, the water temperature was almost ideal. I checked the water temperature with 3 calibrated thermometers and they were all within half a degree of each other. This heater works very well, turning off when the set temperature is reached and turning on when the water gets too cold. I set it to 77 degrees to keep our Betta comfortable. So far this fully submersible heater works very well and the 2 suction cups work great in the water. Only time will tell how long they last. still happy
