Review on 7-LED Vintage Retro Bicycle Front Light Lamp for Fixie Bikes with Bracket by Jeremy Sabey

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Just for looks - headlights

If you're trying to give your bike a cheap, retro look, it should get 3-4 stars. But if it's supposed to be really useful, it gets 1 star.1. Inexpensive assembly. Ok $13 but still. The front locking mechanism is horrible and not at all watertight, and the battery compartment on mine popped off right away2. Battery life. It's mediocre at best. What's really awful is that the 5-position switch (there's off and then 4 on positions, still the same output) can be put in the on position VERY easily by anything: improperly tilting the bike or Hitting someone else's bike on the bike. stand for example. This drains the batteries very quickly. Can be greatly improved with a flush button.3. performance and size. It's really quite bulky for what it is. It works well for being seen but clearly not bright enough to light the way. It would be better to make it a little smaller, with fewer LEDs and make it blink. Or add more LEDs and turn on the high beams. I bought this to replace what I thought was a large retro dummy dynamo lamp and this thing turned out to be much larger and barely installed.

Pros
  • Headlights and reflectors
Cons
  • Nothing here
