Only got this ryobi grinder because DeWalt didn't have a battery powered grinder. As others have pointed out this grinder did not come in the Ryobi packaging shown in the picture but in a plain white box which makes me wonder why and what is wrong with that although it is probably fine. The 18v battery I already have, charged by wqw and used sparingly on an electric drill I no longer use, was only able to power this grinder for 10 seconds before it stalled. I thought the grinder was broken but charged the battery overnight and tried again and the grinder seems to work fine although I only used it for about 2 minutes. As others have said, this grinder probably uses a lot of power, causing my initial usage to be sub-optimal, while others said it lasted about 10 minutes of use before the battery died, so I suspect this grinder requires it and uses a lot of energy. The on/off buttons were very sluggish and difficult to press to operate. It would be nice if these grinders had a handle, it would make them more ergonomic and easier to hold.
