The engine was new and fitted with no problems. I turned on the device and the device worked well and was very quiet. The next morning I turned on the fan and heater and took a shower. A few minutes later I smelled a burning smell and looked outside to see the fan cover was melting and the coils inside were red hot to yellow from the motor not cooling them. The thermal overload connection didn't work either. If I hadn't been in the room or gone to have coffee and heat the room, a fire would have started. These units are cheaper than official Broan replacement parts so use caution and be forewarned.
