At first I thought it was useless but after reading a few other reviews I realized I just got the magic need to find code to activate the AUX input . I have an AVIC-N3, so it connects to a brain box under my passenger seat. The cable isn't very long, but I plugged it into a small Bluetooth audio adapter in the center console to pair cheaply with my phone and it worked. For AVIC-N3, you need to turn the source "Off”, then press the A.MENU button (press the Shift key), then press the "START” button on the screen, and it is possible to turn on AUX. It's on page 112 of the manual.
