This product looks good and is much quieter than the old dead product I had. Cable is 5 inches long. I measured it. the cable does not reach the socket. I unplugged the power cord and plugged it in. Either the grinder tips over or the mains plug tips over. So either keep the grinder in your hands while you use it (which will cause Osha's heart failure) or repair it or send it back. Spare wire, some type of cutting tool, wire strippers or a paring knife, and some electrical tape will make the wire long enough to use. I corrected mine. If there is any kind of guarantee I just canceled it. The last one lasted me 30 years so I'm not worried it will last less than a year.
