Review on Hopkins 48445 6-Pin Round Vehicle Connector by Joshua Romero

The plug on my old cargo trailer was too corroded to be used, so I bought it. After installing and testing, I found that the trailer headlights were not working properly. The wiring in the trailer was a mess so I redid everything but found the headlights still didn't work properly. After several hours of checking the electrical and ground connections, I checked the voltage levels at the truck and at the back of the new connector and found a big drop. The metal used in this connector carried no voltage from the truck connector pins to the back of the black insert where the trailer wires connect. When I replaced it with a 40 year old plug from another trailer, the headlights worked perfectly. I wasted several hours of work time because of this POS and I don't want anyone else going through the same thing as me. Do not buy this product.
