The 80's are calling and want their tapes back
Product works it's just a matter of whether you want to mess with TAPE or not. The price is reasonable for this product, but do you really want to keep buying tapes when you can just remove the hard drive and start over? I sent this and the Panasonic camcorder back. Do yourself a favor and buy a DIGITAL video camera, it will save you money and be more fun.
