Good but maybe GREAT

Let me add some context before I submit my review. I'm a regional truck driver who was looking for something to keep me cool day and night while sleeping on the bunk. The bunk can be dangerously hot as most of the truck's berths are insulated. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and wanted something compact. This device COULD be a super option for those of us who live camping/trucking/nomadic/off-grid. After using it at home just to test it out, I told myself this device could be GREAT. one). The device only works for two hours when fully charged. If manufacturers could work to increase battery life to 5 hours on a full charge, it would make a world of difference. I think if I sleep on a truck bed I can sleep peacefully without waking up and interrupting my sleep. The Department of Transportation is hard on us truck drivers for not getting enough rest. 2). Which brings me to ice packs. Filling them with water is an idea, but why didn't the manufacturer just fill them with cooling gel and seal them? The gel lasts much longer. I have these ice packs called Nordic Ice and they stay cool in my cooler for 24-32 hours. So it can give you long-term cooling without maintenance.3). If the cooling blocks were filled with cooling gel, you may only need one. The need for only one block gives them an opportunity to increase the battery AND maybe make the blocks a bit thicker. So instead of using both blocks they're sending now at the same time, you can use one while the other is in the freezer. So if the block has only been refrigerated for three hours, you now have a block that can be placed in the unit and give you cooler air again while the thawed block freezes. The lack of additional blocks or the ability to order additional blocks is a big plus.4). In conclusion, I think that if the walls of the device were somewhat insulated, it would help keep the blocks cooler for longer, providing better cooling for the end user. Since the walls are not insulated, the blocks are exposed to the ambient climate and at 83 degrees in the room, these blocks don't stand a chance. The wall insulation mimics a fridge freezer. The device has a lot of potential, but what I've listed above can definitely put the device in a class of its own. This is located one step behind the window unit or mini-split unit.
