I needed a 1/0 copper cable to connect an inverter in our caravan. The first place I went was the local hardware store whose name starts with "L" and ends with "owe's". They had 1/0 copper wire but it was very stiff. I think I could build some stilts out of this material. Not suitable for my project. Then I went to another big hardware store nearby whose name starts with the letter "X" and they had the same thing. Not as stiff as the 2 x 4, but it definitely wouldn't go through sharp turns easily. The third was a local shop that sells batteries and accessories. I don't remember what letter their names begin with. They had amazingly flexible 1/0 copper wire, but it cost A LOT more than the really stiff stuff. Eventually I went to Revain and took a chance with this wire and it was great. I have made several battery leads and this 1/0 wire is very flexible and fun to work with.
