I've had bad experiences with progressive lenses. After paying quite a bit for it, I found them very uncomfortable to wear because I couldn't get used to the distortion. They made me nauseous even after wearing them every day for several weeks. I gave up and stuck with my single power readers. That was about a year ago. I recently tried a couple of these "multi-focus" grant readers - what's the difference. These lenses are (almost) free of distortion and the usable range is very wide - unlike prescription glasses (by Warby Parker) which had a narrow 'corridor' where the image was clear. These goggles are lightweight, which also makes them physically comfortable. as well as visually pleasing. In terms of style, I think they're ok, but fashion is very subjective. The range of frames offered with this feature is not very large. The build quality is good, but not outstanding. I don't expect them to last more than a year or so. But even with those issues, the lenses more than make up for it. In terms of function, it's simply great - especially in contrast to my expensive prescription glasses. At first I ordered the electricity that I use for my regular readers. I didn't find it powerful enough in a multifocal pair. I have ordered another pair, half a diopter stronger - and they are perfect. Now they feel just like my regular readers. Your mileage may vary. I was so impressed with this "multi-focus" concept that I decided to buy some glasses of this type from other brands. Glasses from other manufacturers are around 10-15 euros cheaper. The first pair arrived today. I wore them for a couple of hours and they were fine, but they also distorted the lower half of my field of vision a bit. Distortion was significantly less than my prescription glasses, but significantly more than those Foster Grant lenses. I have another pair from another manufacturer in a few days and will update this review if the next pair perform better than these Foster Grant multifocals. Glasses.
