MUCH better than multifocal prescription glasses

I need reading glasses (for presbyopia) and need more correction for close work, not so much for looking at a computer monitor and almost none for looking at my colleagues, whiteboards or too look at projector screens in conference rooms. I've tried a pair of prescription multifocus glasses and they all had weird aberrations, had too much correction at the top, and were tiny at the bottom for a closer reading area, tiny both vertically and horizontally: when I held a book in my hand, theโ€ฆ

My first negative review.

It is rare to write a review. I think it pays to recognize a good product or service, but I find negative reviews often stem from personal opinion. This product is different - they are useless to me although I chose to wear them for this review so I can explain the issue to you. As soon as they arrived I was impressed that they looked like I expected them to, so from that point of view I was happy. They seem well built and not skinny at all. Everything changed as soon as I put them on. At first

Pros
  • Metal frame
Cons
  • High price

I've had bad experiences with progressive lenses. After paying quite a bit for it, I found them very uncomfortable to wear because I couldn't get used to the distortion. They made me nauseous even after wearing them every day for several weeks. I gave up and stuck with my single power readers. That was about a year ago. I recently tried a couple of these "multi-focus" grant readers - what's the difference. These lenses are (almost) free of distortion and the usable range is very wide - unlikeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Non-polarized
Cons
  • Expensive
