MUCH better than multifocal prescription glasses

I need reading glasses (for presbyopia) and need more correction for close work, not so much for looking at a computer monitor and almost none for looking at my colleagues, whiteboards or too look at projector screens in conference rooms. I've tried a pair of prescription multifocus glasses and they all had weird aberrations, had too much correction at the top, and were tiny at the bottom for a closer reading area, tiny both vertically and horizontally: when I held a book in my hand, the reading area didn't even cover it the width of the paperback page. (I think it's idiotic to design prescription glasses so that you have to move your head or read a book.) After throwing away all those (expensive) glasses, but before I swap two pairs of reading glasses again at the tip of my nose, I decided to give it a try.Foster Grant Multifocus Reader. I didn't expect much for the price. I was amazed: optically these glasses are much better than all the diopter glasses that I bought for $ 400 and more, multifocus does not have dizzying aberrations, three correction zones go. across the width from side to side, and vertically they're tall enough to be useful. Additionally, the top correction is great for viewing whiteboards without the need for glasses. The frames are too weak for the heavy use I give them: in a year and a half I've broken two on the hinges. However, the price couldn't be lower and I'm willing to keep extra pairs in case I break or forget them. The fragility would knock a star down in the ranking, but the price bumps it up again. I dread the day they stop making them; When the time comes I think I'll have to order enough pairs to last another 20+ years.
