I originally purchased this item to fix my truck's check engine light. I went to many mechanics who wanted a few hundred dollars to check the problem. So I decided to invest in this product that will not only check your car codes but also the condition of your car battery. I could say this is one of the best purchases since I was able to get the code and find it online. I was able to find tips and tricks online that eventually led me to a leaking evaporator hose that was causing the code. The part itself was only a few dollars and was worth the investment. The only downside I've had is that it's quite bulky, but of the benefits I'm getting from this device, the bulkiness doesn't matter. The machine is very easy to use, but it's always better to read the manual before using it.
