I received this cable and found it very valuable. However, after installation I noticed that my receiver was having trouble playing audio from our TV via CEC. I thought maybe my new TV and receiver weren't set up correctly, but on a whim I unplugged an old HDMI cable and the sound came back. It looks like the connector pins in the male end are the point of failure. I also confirmed this by wiggling and adjusting the tension of the cord slightly and the noise came and went. I returned to the old cable, the sound was normal. I may have received a marriage but I was really hoping I wouldn't have to deal with returning/replacing a simple cable that connects.
