I still have never heard of V-Color memory. Based on many 5-star reviews, the lowest price to upgrade to 32GB, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee, I decided to give it a try. The reminder came within two days thanks to Prime Shipping. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Installation was quick (see installation video) and took less than 5 minutes after I unplugged all cables from the iMac. I installed two original Apple 4GB memories in slots 1 and 3. I just installed two 16GB modules in slots 2 and 4, closed my iMac, connected all cables and pressed the power button. The first boot takes a little longer than usual as Mac OS needs to initialize the new memory. My iMac recognized the memory the first time without any problems. The result is 40 GB of storage. I kept Quicken, Firefox, AltaMail, Messages, IPVanish and Contacts open all the time. With all those apps open (many of them using memory) I still have 23GB of free memory. My Mac is much faster because it can now cache more data without having to spend time exchanging data. My Mac is on all the time and I haven't had any issues with the V-Coor storage.
