Several manufacturers are selling versions of this light. I purchased two different brands. I see another brand is now for sale (at $40) from Home Depot. Both the brands I bought (for $30 & $27 respectively) were similarly bright, offering illumination of different areas of my basement never available before. The advertised adjustable directionality is very limited, but still a plus. The area illuminated is similar to a regular bulb, only much brighter. Almost blinding when turned on. I wouldn't replace every bulb in the house with these lights, but they are great for basements or attics where there are areas in shadow. Bottom line: I love the additional brightness. Now the question will just be how long they last.
