First time. I think I used a pair but received them in like new condition. In my opinion, the reason is that there were no cardboard sleeves in the kit, as can be seen in the picture. Second, one of them had water stains on the edge. I was going to get one for my mom for Christmas but it's not really a gift. I figured I'd keep them to myself so I'd have some leftovers. I think if it was used that person only used it once and returned it because while it does well with larger particles it doesn't perform well with very small particles. I don't care if he doesn't get it. But maybe it matters to some. I don't think it's complete junk. There is one for some of my loose teas that I have but haven't been able to drink. Haven't decided yet whether to return it or not. I am disappointed that someone would pay for a new item and think they have used it. This applies to every newly purchased product.
