It's a pity that I don't even have to rate this article. I purchased this item after it was recommended by my mother's therapist, but when I received it in the mail I immediately realized how cheaply made it was. My mother had four strokes, and the last stroke completely weakened her right side, making it difficult for her to straighten her right leg while walking. This should help stabilize her so her foot doesn't get pinched as she walks forward, but this item looks like it was made for a child and not an adult woman. The calf area is very narrow and small and the length of the sole itself is very small even for a size 9 as described by tknrh. I'll see what her therapist says and recommends once they see how it looks on her in person, but I'm definitely considering returning it, it's definitely not worth the price it was set for.
