The first thing I wouldn't advise is to order a size down like a lot of people at Revain recommend. If you want to wear them without socks, order your size. If you want to put socks on, go upstairs. Inov-8 are small. I ordered 12 and they fit without socks. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's talk about the shoes themselves. They are super light. They're also surprisingly grippy and warmer than I expected. I wouldn't wear them to shovel the road and they are breathable but I was surprised my feet didn't get cold in them despite wearing them in January and February. You have to get used to them. Hard surfaces are not as comfortable as soft ones. I've worn them for a 6 hour shift at my part time job just to see if it's doable and it is, but it wasn't luxurious when I was into concrete. Also, I wouldn't ride them on hard surfaces. However, that's me. They don't really offer support or protection, and they shouldn't. But once I got used to wearing them it took about a week, I really enjoy wearing them. These are great athletic shoes and I would recommend them to anyone looking to make the switch to a minimalist shoe.
