Bought them a few months ago to install a rear wheel drive Seqouia if I ever get stuck on a Florida beach. I probably didn't get stuck 15 times. When I was in the water yesterday I noticed someone was stuck right behind my car and I knew it was going to be difficult for me to get out. When it was time to leave, I only got a few inches before the tires started biting the ground. I jumped out, grabbed the lifeguards and a random stranger next to me grabbed one and started helping (the beach people are amazing!). Each of us spent about 1 minute clearing the sand, using the boards as shovels, and then clamping them under the tires. With a little slip of the wheels, the tires crunched and I drove out. The guy who helped mentioned that he would try to go right after me. He was in a front-wheel drive Honda SUV. Of course he got stuck too. After my Sequoia was parked safely in the soft sand, I grabbed the boards and we set about fixing his car. His car was lower and dig a little deeper so it took 2 or 3 minutes to get the sand off his wheels. Once we tucked the boards behind his tires, he was able to pull right out again, again with a little wheelspin. After 2 uses the boards are showing slight wear due to the rotation of the tires on them but it is minimal. and I'm sure I could use it 50 more times for this purpose, but let's hope I never get stuck that often.
