Does what it's supposed to. I used it to install a new 240v outlet in the garage. Most of the work was installing the wiring and socket yourself, the switch was the easy final step. Very easy to install. Note that the key fits in all the other slots (at least on my late 90's GE panel). If you don't put it in one of those positions, you won't get different poles on each end of this switch. It also took a bit of tapping with a hammer to get it in place, probably because the positions I used didn't have an on/off switch before. I was able to do this without turning off the main switch but setting it up to suit your skill level (and right-handed only).
