This window chain is very beautiful in person. It's thicker than I thought it would be, leading me to believe it will have some permanent properties. I got this for a dented coffee table I was looking to renovate. The table came with two glass inserts on top so I figured using these would spice it up a bit and give my piece a bit of a vintage feel. Now the glass looks BIG (see photo). It really adds elegance to the overall look. My only complaint was that I followed the directions to the T and had trouble holding the film by the edges. But because the glass is built into the tabletop, it actually holds the edges in place, so it's not an issue in the end. I think I'd like to use what I left on my front door glass to see what happens, but thought I'd let potential buyers know about my little problem. If I use it again on my front door I will update this with the results. Removing the backing from tape is a bit fiddly, but no more difficult than working with contact paper. Edit added: I ended up using it on a window and it wasn't difficult at all. The secret is to use a spray bottle of water and really wet the jar before applying. This helps so you can move it around and make adjustments to position the movie properly.
