Review on Mirkit FTDI USB Baofeng Programming Cable Model 5: The Ultimate Multi-Device Flashing Solution for Baofeng, Wouxun, Kenwood, Mirkit, Motorola, and Yaesu Radios by Scoony Taker

Had the same problem as the previous review. None of the connection cables work. I couldn't get it to work with my BTECH UV-25X2 or UV-5R. The official Baofeng cable works with my UV-5R. I, since the UV-25X2 only uses a standard headphone cable, I just hooked up the aux cable to the radio and USB cable and it worked (thanks to a previous reviewer for the tip!). The USB cable works, but neither the UV-5R nor UV-25X2 attachments work. Avoiding one star due to the fact that I was at least lucky in that the radio I was planning to use it with uses a standard cable I have laying around and the USB portion of the cable also uses a standard headphone jack. So I think you could buy this if your radio uses the same connection as the UV-25X2 and you also have/buy an extra cable.
