To be honest I didn't buy this for my kitchen. It lives under my old game console. I wanted something thin that would allow more airflow underneath to help keep the old lady from overheating. This piece is slightly longer than the car, but its sleek and organic design connects the modern car with the antique farm that doubles as our TV stand. You could end up hanging another one off the dining table as it's big enough and strong enough to handle a 13x9 casserole dish with no issues (tested when we first got it).
