Ideal for matte filters

I use this filter on a homemade frosted filter in my 20 long aquarium. I 3D printed a 12" x 3" x 3" square matte case, put a small amount of filler on the bottom, an 80 gph pump and after a few months it's working great. The 250 sponge is dense enough to filter water, doesn't clog easily and a bonus is that cleaner fish love to feed on whatever gets sucked into the sponge which probably got me going longer than I expected without cleaning .

Pros

Regular cleaning. Reusable and durable after cleaning.
