This thing works great! I sometimes smoke tobacco and other things too. and this candle had no problem covering up the smell! I light them for about 20 minutes total: before, during and 5 minutes after smoking, and when I blow them out I'm pretty sure the smell of smoke is gone. I've used it about 25 times (once or twice I accidentally let it burn for an hour) and the wax is almost semi-dry, which isn't too bad. I thought it looked expensive when I first bought it but it works fantastic and I think it's definitely worth it. It has a really sweet scent as others have described and I can understand it being called 'sweet' but I loved this scent and I think many others will too. This isn't as bad as it might seem. Finally, it doesn't mask the smell by making the room smell really strong, it just smells a little bit and sort of gets rid of the smoke smell. So even if you don't like this scent, I don't think it will make your whole house smell like it or anything.
