I bought them to keep the champagne fresh but they are too small to seal tightly. If you pinch the stopper, you can easily pull it out with little effort. That means it will run for a couple of hours, but as soon as the pressure in the bottle is restored, it will leak. Good for wine maybe. I have tried them in bottles of different brands with beer and they are too small. I've used others my grandma had that worked great but not sure about the brand. If anyone has a better suggestion, please let me know!
