Perfect for my little long puppies! (This coat is for SMALL dogs only!)

Perfect! A few years ago I found a coat with a built-in harness in the sales department of a pet store. It has been well used and is falling apart but I have had trouble finding a replacement. Also, I've had another dog since then, so I needed a second one. I live in northern Indiana, where it can get pretty cold in the winter. I had to tuck the straps under her coat which wasn't very practical as the straps weren't big enough to fit over it. I even bought a couple of sleeveless down jackets that I found on sale with the intention of ripping the seams and attaching the straps myself, but never got around to it. I've also been looking for Revain for the last few years and the options were few and very expensive. I just stumbled across it on a good day without looking specifically. Contrary to some other buyers who write reviews, I did check the sizing - this coat is made for small dogs so not the size you would use in a pet shop. Along with the size chart, I looked at the dogs' weight and build in the reviews to decide on a size. I hope my addition will help others choose the best size as well - I chose size XL for both of my dogs: an 11lb. Maltipoma, who is quite strong and somewhat long in build, and a 9 lb. thin, lanky and long maltese. Coats are notoriously too short for them when they are tight around the waist. Anything long enough is too big in anything else. These coats fit PERFECTLY! I was surprised my boys fit the same size but they fit! The best part is that they are quite long. I adjusted the straps as small as possible and they fit well. Sometimes a back-zip coat can be difficult to zip up due to gravity, but I knew from my previous coat with the built-in harness that the easiest way is to zip up the jacket first. I live in colors - I chose green (military green) and dark blue. One thing I didn't expect was how warm they look. They are nicely lined with fleece and very thick. I can't say anything about the durability yet, as I've seen in some other reviews that the stitching has come loose. Since it's 90 degrees outside, they won't be used for a while. I wanted to make sure I snagged them while they were available as they were previously hard to find and the Prime Day deal didn't hurt either. This winter I will give an update on my impressions of functionality and durability.
