Review on πŸŽ’ Stylish and Durable Herschel Raven Crosshatch Black Rubber Backpacks for the Modern Traveller by Alicia Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for all 15 inch laptops

First I would like to note the good, it is a very nice backpack (Raven X-Hatch) and looks well made. Zippers that cannot be explained by the fact that it is a brand new backpack. In just 10-15 minutes after looking at the bag, the zippers on mine started to loosen a bit. I doubt that after a week or so of regular use, the waterproof design always makes it a little harder to get in your pocket than a non-waterproof design, but the trade-off is that it should keep your expensive electronics clean and dry. Problem. It's sold as a backpack that can fit a 15" laptop, but actually fits a 15" MacBook Pro. I suspect even the equally thin XPS 15 will be a bit cramped since it's slightly wider than the MBP. The problem is that the felt-lined laptop sleeve is at the very back, while both laptops I have on hand can fit in one bag (a Toshiba basket released a few years ago and an MSI GS-65), the bag cannot be closed with a zipper, which rather defeats the purpose. Both laptops fit in the main compartment unlined, but that doesn't leave room for anything else in the bag, but it's a perfectly working solution. I'm sure many target users of this case will use the above mentioned Macbook Pro and I'm sure it will be a great case for them. For someone else, it might be better to look elsewhere.
