Review on Prevost Smart Safety Coupling PRVESI071201S: Optimize Workplace Safety with Efficiency by Jathan Louis

That's great! Don't use your crappy plugs here, they'll leak!

**Update** December 2021 I have yet to replace my worn out clutch! In fact, I bought even more of them! Now everyone in my workshop uses Prevost Highflo couplers. They cost a lot more but I've had no replacement costs and no leaks since the original purchase! Pssst, listen... Can you hear the hissing leak? No? I also! I've added a picture of the wear on the original clutch. Shiny areas just shine, no groove to catch your fingernail. You can fix them if and when they leak! **Original Review** This is the best air clutch system I have ever used! No more hose coupling blowing air in my face/ears. Easy to use! Simply point the end of the receiver in a safe direction, away from yourself or anyone else. Depress and release the green button and the coupler will pop out of the plug and vent upstream (from the coupler connection to the tool). The best part is that it keeps the plug in the body until all pressure is released. Then pull the end of the plug out of the socket. NOTE: Pressing the green button keeps the end of the plug in the port (remember it doesn't fly out) and you cannot unplug the plug from the port while the green button is pressed! Briefly press the green button, the air will be released, then pull the hose to disconnect the plug from the connector. Common complaints about this connector are that it leaks on arrival. I believe this is due to the assumption that it will work with any type of connector. This is NOT a universal connector. In this case Prevost PRVESI071201S ONLY works with Prevost 1/4” FNPT or MNPT safety air plugs. Don't bother using China Freight, local hardware or discounted clutch replacement parts in your home business. The best advice I can give to any DIY/DIY/hobbyist first timer is to buy two or more of these hitches and a pack or two of 10 forks. I have used HF and Orange Home universal plugs and kept replacing leaky plugs. When I think I'm upgrading, it just kicks the crappy street-mounted clutch and fork long enough to forget when I replaced it. I finished, this is a steel ball hitch using just the correct steel plugs. No more worn out aluminum plugs in shitty "world supplier" parts.
