My wife recently bought a car that only came with a key fob. Since there is only one door that can be opened with a key in a new car, the driver's door, and since my wife prefers that I drive, every time I drive her anywhere in her car, I have to go to the driver's door walk. Open the car and then return. to open her door and let her in. We called the car dealer to get another key fob and program it, it would cost over $300. It still costs over $250 for local locksmiths to provide and program the key fob. I bought this and asked a local locksmith to program it for $60. It took less than 5 minutes and everything has been working great ever since. It looks the same as the OEM key fob, just without the manufacturer's logo on the back.
