Using this soapstone handle has become second nature. The clasp is metal so it sticks well to the strong magnet I keep near my sewing machines. Soapstone is durable, so I don't constantly adjust its length. Holds a good point. The soapstone sitting in the holder is slightly loose, so the holder must be fixed firmly so that pressure can be applied when marking the fabric. Soapstone also serves as a lubricant. I've used it to scrape off old threads to make threading easier without using oils that might get on my fabrics. The holder is durable. The threads could be milled better and the tension setting could be improved for a better grip on the soapstone. Overall excellent value for money. I would buy it again.
