Bought two of these for a friend for Christmas. I thought they were unique for their handwork. They came quickly. But even though I checked her weight in grams, I was surprised at how little yarn there was. It wasn't much. I suspect it takes five or six skeins to make a narrow scarf. Silk is likely to be slightly heavier than regular acrylic or wool yarn, about as much as perhaps large diameter cotton yarn. If you plan to make a small blanket or something similar, you will need a barrel of this material. Huge cost! And the colors are somehow uninteresting, not like in the photo. As this is recycled material I'm sure there is an unpredictable range so be aware. If the need is greater, I would try to order everything at once, so that the colors might harmonize, or at least a compatible contrast.
