Waste of money: Rough plumbing

My faucet is only 1 inch in diameter. See that tiny hole in the middle of the hose barb? It doesn't get any bigger - no flexibility. You have to hold it on the faucet and the water will splash. I need this to fill my humidifier and will definitely look for a better product. I should have listened to the negative reviews. Even if it's cheap, it's still a waste of money.
