Works as advertised with one error. The "cats" emblem is turned sideways. If it is flipped over like a doormat with the logo on the bottom right as seen in the picture, the cats will simply jump over it as they exit the box. They only step on it and clean the paws of the bedding when it is turned 24 inches towards me as I look at the mat by the stall door. So the cats are forced to walk in size 36 inches and the mat serves its purpose. This might work differently if I had a small tray with no lid.
