Before I bought the 2019 CX-5 I had a 2009 Mazda 3 and I finally realized that a phone holder with a CD slot is the best way to store my phone long-term. Since the CX-5 doesn't have a CD slot and the vents don't run straight up and down, I struggled to find a mount that held the phone in the right position, didn't obscure my view while driving, and does long-lasting decision. . I've tried vent mounts, the new large clip style mounts, and pad style mounts with weights that didn't meet the criteria. This bracket holds very well to the outer frame of the deflectors thanks to small lugs that snap into place on the back of the deflector housing. There is easy access to emergency flashers and airflow controls for ventilation. The phone rotates well both vertically and horizontally, the bumps in the road do not affect it. The case offers enough space for my iPhone 7+ and easily fits larger and smaller models. Access to the charging port is also easy. Great product and worth the price.
