What I liked about it: Connected to PI and it just WORKS! (assuming you have the libraries pre-installed) It uses 3.3V, so in theory you could have a pretty low-power Pi-powered symbol! The color part works well! What I don't like about it: Not compatible with the Pimoroni library for a competitor product, even if you read the documentation) The provided Python library sucks and needs patching to use all the features. No quick update, no library that provides a way to update part of the screen. There isn't a library that provides a way to update just one color (drastically reducing the 14-second refresh rate). Adjusting "brightness" or voltage on an LCD isn't that easy, but this is more my own problem than the device. For the price it's hard to beat! It really works, and the supported library, while extremely basic and pretty terrible, allows you to make it do what you want! complaining about cheap stuff from China). I've been using this thing since day 3 and already have a gray horizontal bar on the display :( Will return it and try to get a new one.
